This site differs from other sites in respect of referencing to principles of flips.

 

Tips – Bottom-up but coincides with the reality –

By the way, there are 2 types of tips.

One is bottom-up tips and the other, top-down tips.
Bottom-up tip means a tip which you believe is right because of principles, like arms contribute to rotation in this way so I should do that!
Top-down tip means a tip which you believe is right because people do that in good flips, like he do that! So, I should do that!
These two have both of strong point and week point.

At the worst case, you can end up conceiving a top-down tip which has nothing to do with flips.
For example, the person who does a good flip has a beard, you may think I should have a beard! (I believe that a beard have nothing to do with flips.)
You scarcely conceive that kind of tip if you think in the bottom-up way, because you start thinking from principles.
However, bottom-up tips have week point too.
Our complicated and individually different bodies need to be simplified in order to be modeled and simulated.
In the way of top-down thinking, you can see tips which must be overlooked through that modelling.

About our policy – One action one motion –

If you action (change your form), you will move according to the action.
Your will doesn’t matter to the movement.
Even if you intend to twist, if you don’t action properly, you won’t twist.
Conversely, even if you don’t intend to twist, if you change your form properly by accident, you will twist automatically.
It is nothing special.
Also, action and motion have one-to-one correspondence.
Therefore, when you tuck, you don’t have choices in which you bring your knees to your chest or bring chest to knees.
It is because your action is only tuck(get chest and knees close), so the movements of your chest and knees are determined by the action automatically.
Whenever your chest goes to your knee or your knees go to chest, your action is the same.
The motions are different because of the rotation.
(cf. Tuck fast without thinking(bringing chest to knees is the same as knees to chest ))

In summary, you can change your form only and according to the change of your form, motion changes.
Flip and twist is the same.
If you don’t change your form in the air , it is the same as you do nothing.
Therefore, we think advice should be based on form, because motion cannot be changed directly it is the result of some change of forms.

 

Image – how to get proper action –

To imagine how we should act is an effective means to get close to the ideal action.
However, sometimes an image of a different action from the ideal action is more effective.
The most effective image is often the image exaggerated, like jump forward !
An effective image is depending on the person.
Therefore, nothing guarantee that the image which is effective to someone is also effective to someone else.
That is why we don’t mention images.
